All hourly wage data displayed on these pages comes from the Bureau of Labor Statistics' Standard Occupational Classification.
Leadership and independence data comes from Department of Labor's Occupational Information Network (O*NET), which has occupational experts answer questions about each job. Their answers are then compiled to assign traits a score out of five for each job.
To be considered for these lists, the education needed for each job was required to be "no formal educational credential," according to Standard Occupational Classification data. Jobs were then ranked based on the amount of leadership opportunity offered in the position.
Manual research was conducted to filter out jobs that were found to be inappropriate or inaccessible to minors. Jobs were split between part-time and summer lists based on manual research as well.
